Statement of Purpose

The Billtown Blues Association Inc. recognizes the serious loss of income from performance cancellations and loss of merchandising sales for our regional musicians.  For that reason, the BBA is establishing a funding program to accept donations from those who recognize the artistic value of live music performances, and the musicians who create the music we enjoy and want to help.

 

The BBA has created BBACARES, a project to organize and manage the collection and distribution of funds to our musicians in need.  The BBA is offering an initial donation of $1,000 to kick off this project. 

 

Full time and part-time musicians, who reside within a 50 mi radius of Williamsport, PA may submit an application for review.  Every application will be carefully reviewed by a BBACARES committee, and funding will be dispersed based on need and other qualifiers.   

We encourage donors and applicants to check out the BBACARES FAQ.  Any adjustments to the plan or responses to questions we may receive will be listed here.

 

Our initial goal is a 30-day donation and application submission time frame, starting May 1 until May 31 with funds disbursed within 14 days of the 30-day acceptance period. 

We maintain the option to adjust the timeframe as seems appropriate for the success of the Project. 

 

Musicians must apply individually, not “as a band” or under a specific band name.
