He is an accomplished, seasoned harmonica and accordion player, vocalist and musician with over forty years of experience. Andy hosts the "Children's Harmonica Workshop," along with Big Mitch Ivanoff of Krypton City Blues Revue, at each year's Billtown Blues Festival. His styles include Blues, rock, jazz, gospel and country. He has worked with most of the local musicians and not a few in New Orleans, D.C., and other distant locales, including Charmaine Neville and Real Feelings, The Johnny Burton Blues Band, Mike Celestine, Tommy Cash, Dean McNett Country, Shelby Nestler, Mark Wenner and The Nighthawks, Tony O. with Willie "Big Eye" Smith and Bob Stroger. Some of the local projects he has worked with are The Uptown Music Collective, The Bird Dogs, Dilligaf, Art "The Cat" Renkel, The Tail Draggers, and Stingray's Blues Band, to name only a few.
Mike Hudson (Drums) Mike Hudson has studied the drums for about a decade both self-taught and formally instructed. Citing Billy Martin, Elvin Jones, Mitch Mitchell and his former instructor Steve Mitchell as his primary influences; you can hear their shared passion for rhythmic intensity in all of the styles of music he is capable of performing. Being a lover of many styles of music has lead to many musically diverse collaborations he is currently or was once part of. His greatest musical achievement to date was touring China in May of 2004 with the Front Porch Country Band. Playing also with The Johnny Jolin Band and Magnolia Blue, Mike's sense of rhythmic intensity lends itself very well to this current incarnation of a previous attempt at home-grown blues with Andy, in his kitchen. Doug Sherry (Bass) Doug Sherry has lent his talents as a guitarist and bassist to blues, jazz and rock bands for over twenty years, with experience playing in many East Coast and Midwest venues. When not pursuing musical endeavors he teaches in the School of Integrated Studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology and lives with his wife and daughter in Williamsport, PA. Allan "Big AL" Meck (Guitar) Allan Meck has played guitar and bass in a variety of bands from the area for the last seven years. In 2002 he cofounded the Riverside Blues Band. They played in and around the Susquehanna Valley until 2006, appearing at the 2005 Billtown Blues Festival as part of the Billtown Blues All-Stars local showcase. He is also currently a member of The Keystone Ska Exchange and The Nobodys. |
