Presently, the Dirty Bird Blues Band is made up of guitarist/singer Jay "Bone" Short, bassist "Nuclear" Dave Krempasky, vocalist Rosie "Rose Bud" Short and percussionist Roy Pursel.
    Jay is a real Bluesman. His music has it's roots in the Mississippi Delta and the mean streets of Chicago. He has been a presence in the Billtown Blues scene for well over thirty years. His playing encompasses Delta style blues as well as in your face Chicago style rockin' blues.
    Dave has also been a regular on the Williamsport blues scene for over thirty years. He plays with feeling and his driving bass lines are instrumental in propelling the band's rhythmic soul.
    Rosie is a relative new comer to the blues scene. She was first introduced to us a few years ago when she sat-in with Riverside Blues Band at a "Fall into the Blues" concert. The response from the audience created in her the desire to sing on a regular basis. For the past few years she's been at her father's side and has developed a powerful vocal style.
    Roy is the most recent addition to the band. He started out playing in The Buttons, a touring punk rock band that played mostly in the Northeast. His determination to learn all styles of music along with his work ethic has transformed Roy into a solid performer with a good feel for the Blues.
